Freshmen Go Speed Dating in the Library
Freshman English classes participated in a reading activity this month where they went "Speed Dating" with 30 Young Adult titles. They were given 30 seconds with each book and asked to determine if they wanted to take the book on a "second date"- which meant that they wanted to check out the book. This way, students were exposed to texts on a variety of topics in a short amount of time.
